Three Generations in the Woods
Blue Tree Resources is the product of a successful intergenerational transfer process. Bonnyman & Byers Limited was incorporated in 1950 by Allan’s father. The company’s origins were deeper in the woods in the days of a winter woods camp where men spent the winter cutting trees.
Allan (pictured) oversaw the next phase to maintain and grow a successful lumber mill, forestry and wild blueberry operations.
Alexander, a third generation of the Bonnyman’s to be in the forestry and wild blueberry business operates Blue Tree in conjunction with his father, Allan Bonnyman.
Alexander’s vision is to continue to grow Blue Tree with the objective of maintaining healthy, sustainable properties for future generations of Nova Scotians.
